Scott's "Discovery"
The "Wasa" (the famous Swedish ship that sank on launch) - I thought that would be good for a "Golden Hind" type city scene
There is a lightship to 1:144 I think
Quite a few submarines
The illusive "Shell Welder"
And this container ship I saw in the Liverpool transport museum (not a kit!)

Revell produced a Fletcher class destroyer (and the post war German version of this). They are now hard to find and are getting rather pricey. I imported mine from Germany. It's still waiting to be built along with the Revell trawler that I have. The layout needs a couple of extensions before these can be used.
There is also a tank landing craft and a missile boat that have been produced.

The Trawler has been mentioned a few times on the forum. The most in depth is here...

In summary it is a decent kit, representative of several boats of the 1960s...

I have a few kits, some in the stash like the trawler already mentioned. I built that as a kid and it is likely to wait while I build new stuff. Same for the SRN4 hovercraft that is in the stash. I have Cutty Sark too, but the 1:150 will probably not get built as I also have it in 1:96 (I think), and over 3 foot long hull. I have the Goodwin lightship, also unbuilt.

As for the built ones... the Shell Welder is a great kit, when combined with the White Ensign etch kit for fine railings and so forth. I renamed her "Rosalind Franklin".





The Langley Tid tug is also lovely when built. 



I have the Noch tug too and I plan to Anglicise it a bit, if I can.

And, although supposedly 1:125, Cousteau's Calypso doesn't seem too far out of scale, and I chose to model it in its stored and decayed state after a decade of legal battle over ownership.

There is also a Tomix/Kato tug boat. I have one but it looks a bit too small compared to the Revell American tugboat "Lucky" that I bought and kit bashed to make it less American looking.

I wasn't able to find out whether there is a standard size for tugboats but I seemed to get away with the probably oversized kit bashed Revell boat.

Whilst browsing for something completely different, I found this a few days ago;

It is a little 'top heavy' for a UK passenger ship-but I think it could be kit bashed into something quite useable n 'N'.

Heller also used to do a Grand Banks (Basque?) type trawler some years ago-I modified one and did an article for 'Railway Modeller' with the result. It was about 17 years ago....

I might put an order in for those rowing boats - they look kinda cute. I have tried on several occasions to make my own out of cardboard and even plasticard without success.
