The Freightliner class 66 is now only £50 plus postage

Took the listing down, I'm afraid.

I'd had 66 views but no follow ups since posting.

So, this afternoon, on the spur of the moment I put it on ebay for the same price.

Was shocked when it sold in just over one hour!!

However, earlier on today I'd exchanged emails with a more knowledgeable friend who's here on NGF - I mentioned I suspected that the Freightliner livery was not a popular with many modellers.  He was pretty much in agreement.  Sad really, I think it's rather an attractive livery - wonder what others think?

I don't really buy locos because they're attractive, but because they're what I want to run. The FL livery is a bit dull, but so is EWS, I've still got about 10 FL locos! Can't imagine that's anything to do with it not selling personally.

Dunno which it was but I'd be more keen to buy a Farish one than Dapol as haulage is vastly better, and I'll avoid older Dapol ones entirely because of the problems with DCC conversion. Could be a factor.

eBay stuff always goes for more anyway. I'd have done an auction rather than BIN, probably got even more!

I have...roughly...3 66s, a 57, two 90s (plus one in "swoosh") and 3 86s.....

Don't altogether agree with your comments re the livery but accept it's a point of view - so fair enough.

Not sure where the reference to Dapol locos came in, it was a Farish one I was offering!!

Acknowledge your approach to eBay - again fair comment, except you don't know my circumstances and why I went that way.  After all, I'm not a novice with ebay - currently approaching a modest 500 trades!!

Anyway, all worked out well, so thanks for your input

Was a general comment. I never saw your advert, so didn't know what it was. I'd have been tempted. Although I already have more FL locos than trains for them to haul, whilst I'm sure I could use another EWS one for something, perhaps another factor. FL tend to operate more long, block trains, EWS traffic is more diverse.

I didn't see this thread until just now.  You should PM the moderating team about edits in future, or Tag us.  We don't have the time to read every post on the forum I'm afraid.  Glad you manage to sell the model.

Well I'm a fan of the FL livery. I was sorely tempted by your listing, but I have several and shouldn't buy any more 

Glad you shifted it and for £50, somebody on eBay got a bargain at current prices.
