does anyone know of a source of the OTA kits that used to be produced by Chivers, before they stopped making N guage ?

cheers

NTrain

He has produced some more of these kits recently. I think one of his sons is marketing them for him.

The details are on RMWeb which is currently off line.

guest311

many thanks for that,
I'll keep an eye out for RMWeb to be back on line then post a query there.

MacRat

thank you for the link, daz.
now I've to source 6,2 mm and 7 mm metal wheels....

McRuss

Hello Matthias,

you could find 6,2mm and 7mm wheelsets in the Parkside Dundas Range.
http://www.parksidedundas.co.uk/acatalog/PARKSIDE_DUNDAS_WHEELS.html
Feinmechanik Luck did also 6,2 and 7mm Wheelsets, but if the Length of the axle is correct I don't know.
The 7mm Wheelset is only available with RP25 flanges and with one axle length.
http://www.luck-feinmechanik.de/N.html
I checked the length of the Parkside axles. My 6,2mm and 7mm wheelsets are 15mm in length.
So the 7mm Luck wheelset won't fit because it only 13,85mm long. The Luck 6.2mm wheelsets could
be ordered with a lengt of 14,9 and 15,1mm length. So I would settle for the shorter ones.

@NTrain, thank you. I see they have an KQA container wagon, too. And I wondered why on earth Dapol wouldn't do them in N scale.

@Markus, thank you, too.
Well I have to approach Chivers then and ask what the right axle width ist.

guest311

many thanks to you all for your info on these.

looks like as soon as they come out I shall be very busy

Hello Matthias,

I think the width is 15mm because in my Chivers CCT got Parkside wheels.

go on the slim rails link below, and they are there.

he also supplies the couplers and wheelsets.

if you are looking for quite a few send him a contact or email, I managed to negotiate a discount for ten, which I had as just the castings without individual packing and instructions.

very good comms and a pleasure to do business with, so I was a very happy bunny.

Massimo

thank you very much!

As time has moved on can anyone recommend 6.2mm metal wheels on 15mm axles for the OTA?

Cheers
