According to the Farish Website, the latest 60's and 66's to be in stores from Feb/March onwards will have a 6 pin NEM socket rather than needing to have decoders soldered to the PCB.

Does anyone know if they have completely re-engineered the chassis or just the wiring?

Thanks,

John P

I don't think the chassis has been touched from what I can tell.
I've had a 66 for a while with a six pin. Maybe a couple of years.
And I think the last 60 I bought has a six pin too. I believe they've reengineered the pcb.

Screw holes are in a different place on the 6-pin ones. Typically I've got a duff older one, not sure how easy it'll be to fit the new ones.

Yep all mine are older ones too, I've got 5 in all, at least 5 that still work.

Let us know if you figure out a way to get the new PCB in an older chassis.

I think the low-emission 66s have had them since they came out, but its a welcome development they are now standard on all new releases too. It certainly made chipping my 60 a lot easier!
