However, the facts are that City of Truro was recorded at 100+ MPH by two separate recorders on the train, that it was 20 years before the F/S made its run and that the record of 100+ MPH has been accepted by many authorities world wide. You say it has never been proven, but more to the point it has never been DISPROVEN.
Any 'sour grapes' come from Doncaster, not Swindon.
So far as I am concerned THIS DISCUSSION HAS NOW ENDED AND I'LL NOT BE COMMENTING FURTHER on the subject.
If it's not a Diesel Hydraulic then it's not a real locomotive.
