I'm fairly sure somebody said on here recently they believed the above company was no longer trading.

Just done a search and against their website is states this domain may be for sale. This seems to indicate they have indeed ceased trading?

I do not have any of their coal wagons but was considering getting a few. It will be a pity if they are lost, although somebody may consider their products worthy of saving and re-marketing?

their models were  in  a class of their own!!!

I've got half a dozen and yes, they're very nice little models. Not particularly expensive, very nicely made, and plenty of variety -- seems strange (and sad) to me that they're not in business anymore.

Anyway, some stores still have a few in stock, e.g...

Not all the ones listed are actually in stock, but some are. Worth ferreting through if you want to try some out.

Twas I that reported that they had ceased trading, sadly I believe it still to be the case.

Indeed, that concurs with my understanding... I believe the plan was to continue until present stock had sold but there would be no more produced. There are a few traders with reasonable stocks. Frizinghall Models as per the link above and Plus Daughters are two that spring to mind...

I wonder if the closure is due to retirement, poor sales, or just moving on?

Perhaps the business is up for sale?

If it's up for sale is this something the NGS would be interested in adding to it's "portfolio" ?

Full of questions me...

I have a few and there are nicely made and printed with clear couplings. Nice folk to do business with, too.

Shame they are no longer being made.

Yes I loved the wagons and got quite a few but after a while those clear couplings had to go. In the end I swapped them all rather than tackle something as complicated as replacing a coupling.

I believe the wagon business was getting in the way of the day job.

Also, I don't know for sure, but stock-wise, Rails may still have a few of them.

Think you may be right there, Jason.

Recall an email exchange last year with Andrew and being advised that he was busy elsewhere and doubted he would have much time when he got back.
