A few photos from Expo NG this Saturday. These are by no means representative of the whole show, and I didn't get pictures of every layout by a long chalk. The ones shown here are just my personal favourites.

This one had a very atmospheric back scene. (2mm scale narrow gauge group I think).



La Valise 1:22 scale 16.5 mm gauge. The ingenuity speaks for itself. With accompanying sound effects, the wagon is loaded from the chute and is unloaded automatically as it is shunted next to the barge, (which rocks gently on a tidal swell!)





Compass Point, 4mm scale, 9mm gauge. A characterful overall scene.



The Evaleight Light Railway 4mm scale, 9mm gauge, Sussex Downs Group of the 009 Society. This was a beautifully evocative set of scenes that hung together as a whole really well for a group layout. There were many clever touches in this layout without being cliche heavy. This is a trip around the layout, although I haven't included a wharf, quarry and two stations in the pictures! It'll never be exhibited whole again as it has outgrown it's ability to be regularly exhibited.
