I've just watched this gem from 1968...

Absolutely cracking programme in so many ways, even for the diehard diesel fans. Check out the characters... a mind-bogglingly nutty (I mean that affectionately) lot of people, including the Rev Awdry and a fascinating supporting cast behind the real star.

I say old bean what an absolute corker of a programme, what-what?

Just watched it!  Thanks for the link.  Wonderful stuff...

The jolly old Beeb are doing us proud with the old progs lately.

Yeah, thanks again for that.....
"When in trouble, when in doubt, run (trains) in circles..." etc.
There, doesn't that feel better?
Lovely!

Run what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law
I may appear to be listening to you, but inside my head, I'm playing with my trains.

Also just watched it.
Great programme.
Thanks for sharing the link.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Was the departure of the Deltic deliberately slowed so as to allow the best views of the kettle? :hmmm:
