Got another parcel from Hattons today, which means just waiting for a Viaduct from Gaugemaster to arrive and that will complete everything I need on my layout except for a car transporter wagon, and am about to order one of those from a French supplier.

Otherwise I don't need any more locomotives or rolling stock, as no more spare track space on the layout to house them, and I already probably have more locomotives than I really need if I am honest.

The layout itself also has no space left for adding anything else scenic or building wise, and I can't extend it any more as there just isn't the space in my rented storeroom.

Looks like soon there will be nothing left for me to do but just enjoy running different train combinations on the layout. How sad is that!?

Of course if a larger storeroom became available, I could start again, or I could throw holidaymakers out of one of our holiday let flats and use one of the rooms in it for a new layout, but I can't see the misses agreeing to that and we'd lose a good source of Income.

To be honest quite looking forward to finishing the layout which I started back in September 2013, and spending time making good use of it. I already have a small music centre in the storeroom, but could do with a small fridge in there as well (that would sit below the baseboard) to keep some beer in, and then I really could enjoy spending more time in there.

It must be quite satisfying to get to that stage- I've been working on mine for about 6 months now and still haven't really done any shunting in my sidings!

Enjoy playing with running your trains. Can we see a few pictures of them in action please ?
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Waiting for the tripod I have just ordered to arrive, and then I can do a new video of the layout in operation. You can see the layout in it's current nearly completed stage if you look at my Train Tech sound module changes thread - but the Link to the short video I posted in that thread is -

Congratulations, Terry.
The majority of layout builders seem to consider their labour of love is never finished so you're one up on all of them.

Trouble is - finding the time to enjoy my (model railway) hobby.

Didn't have chance today to visit my storeroom and tomorrow have another busy day.

In the morning I am participating in a local Walk, in the afternoon it is a visit to the Doctors to get my recent blood test results, and Friday evening is "games" night in our complex where the misses and I are being introduced to some new game called "mexican" something or other and will probably finish up with a game of "What's in the Bag" which I enjoy and find really funny.

Saturday morning it's snooker for a couple of hours, but I might get a chance to visit my model railway storeroom in the afternoon, if the misses doesn't insist I take her to the Pool for a few hours of sunbathing and swimming.

Good news is Bob at BR Rails has just emailed me to say he has received the parcel of 3 engines I sent to him for repair a few weeks ago - I thought they had got lost.

Things do seem to be coming together at last, and hopefully I will be able to show a working model railway to 4 of our grandchildren who are coming out to visit in May.

Also keeping fingers crossed that tomorrows blood test results are good news.
