We have decided to base our layout on Darley Dale on the preserved Peak Rail line, (Butterley on the MRC came a close second B.T.W)
I did some searching of ex BR diesels that have been on the line such as 25265 which had cast nameplates HARLECH CASTLE whilst in BR Blue, I think it had the name painted on it during its final days on BR and the new owners went 1 step further.
We are going to have visiting diesels and today I have purchased a new style class 08 in BR Green which will be D3018 Haversham (ex 08011 Bletchley)


Where can get custom plates etched or printed as waterslide?

I may give Shawplan a call, I have just found details on Precision decals via model rail mag and will ask there to, as it seems he can do a lot of things including Bike and car decals etc.

Try Narrow Planet they will make any plate they have a website  but be warned they have to fill up an A4 sheet before the get them etched so you have to wait about a month for them.
Or try a PM to our member OZYMANDIAS he will make a plate for you not etched but good lettering on a brass plate see my pictures in my media.
