Who would have thought it,  :NGF: is a year old  :beers: :beers: and what a fantastic place it has turned out to be.  I would like to thank all of you for making it the place to visit on the web for all things N Gauge.

From a moderators point of view I still have some hair left that is not grey, yet, but everyone I have been in touch with have been nothing short of superb and very understanding, thank you also to the rest of the mod team who have stepped in to cover for me during enforced absences.

So to you all, happy birthday, congratulations on making such a great forum and it is your contributions and continued interest that have made  :NGaugeForum:

Here's to many more years  :beers:

I remember joining this forum early in December 2010 and thinking to myself.
''What a nice quiet, friendly, peaceful corner of the WWW this is''....but it still let me in   (bad move on their part).
Soon it started to get lively and the numbers started to swell and in came a few antagonists from the forums..not many but a few. Tank and Lawrence soon slapped them down and started to get things back under control; although of course neither could be online 24/7. I  pointed out quietly to Tank that it ight be a good idea to select a couple of extra moderators and was promptly dumped into the job as both T & L were away for a few days  >:( I held the fort  with no previous instruction over the weekend and 'assisted' during a few following months.
Family problems here (not wife/me) caused me to spend less time here and little concentration when I was in so I resigned and the present junta was elected and seems (in the main ;) ) to be doing a good job despite the lousy wages/clubhouse/travel pay  :smiley-laughing:
Lets hope thing continue to march ahead and the forum gt to be an even better, larger, more helpful place to be a member of  :beers: :beers:
