Dapol web site seems to be down most of the time this afternoon/evening.

Perhaps its the black friday rush!!
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

I was on there earlier with no problems, and yes it seems down at the moment.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there - I've had a class 33 (albeit a green one) preordered since god knows when.

I got this EMail from a certain Liverpool area retailer earlier this week:

Hello

We thought you may like to know that an item you have on order with us, on order id xxxxxxxx, has had some information about its release date added or updated.

Dapol 2D-001-001 Class 33/0 diesel locomotive D6571 in BR green with no yellow panel £xx.xx

Our latest information from the supplier suggests this item will arrive with us between April 2015 & June 2015

Whilst we are hopeful this information is accurate, manufacturer lead times are frequently prone to be delayed. This information is to be used as a guide only.

We hope that this email has been useful.

I got the same email from (probably) the same Liverpool retailer. So I won't be getting the Xmas present I expected.

Thanks Paul - In that case I'm sure it will be sorted soon.
