Tonight met with 2 other Tenerife NGS ngaugers for the first time to talk about our hobby and view each others layout. One is a member of this Forum and the other not.

Bob (who is a Forum member) has a large bungalow with lots of space below ground for a really extensive layout although he is just starting out on building his layout there.

The other NGS member Roger has an extensive layout, but not all that big a layout inside of his apartment which allows for 5 trains to be run simultaneously at the same time.

No doubt we will be meeting up again in the not too distant future to discuss progress on our layouts.

Bob has yet to treat his baseboard and fasten his track down, and most of his buildings are made from Metcalfe kits built for him by his Grandson.

Roger has built most of the scenery on his layout from scratch but has no electrical operated points at all, and I promised to let him have a spare Peco side mounted point motor for him to try as some of his points are hard to reach.

Earlier today I ripped up part of my Layout and made a scratch built tunnel for some of the track to run under (using strong card and cork) and I must say I am pleased with the outcome.

I have a few more changes I wish to make on my layout before doing a new YouTube video of the outcome (watch this space).

Off to a Halloween party tomorrow, so will be the weekend before I am fit enough to make some more changes to my Layout, but beginning to enjoy making scenery despite being not very good at it.

Happiness is not egg shaped - but a model railway that you are proud of and can call your own, and is one that works.

Nice to hear you've all managed to meet up, Terry.
Hopefully you'll have gained some new friends/kindred spirits
