Corgi/Hornby does an extensive range of locomotives 1/120 scale which are essentially collectibles. Maybe this is an N scale Pendolino...........

Why 1/120 it doesn't match anything, not even TT

Does seem strange. 1/10 of an inch to the foot, rather than a mixed mm/ft scale like 2.54mm/ft.

1:120 is European TT... - like other scales, they got that one smaller than the correct British size  :P

Not wanting to sound like sour grapes, but I bet its for that other gauge! :hmmm:

No need to bet on it - the logo at the bottom of the page says "Oxford Rail OO Gauge Railways".

I believe Rapido trains (of the OO Gauge APT-E) have another couple of British projects on the go - perhaps this is one of them?

Happy modelling.

The website is changing almost daily. There are now product development project-charts on there, and remarkably the launch date has come forward to 8 November 2014. Now where is there a show that date...Barry & Penarth is not a million miles from Swansea geographically. Anyway who brings launch dates forward in this day and age........Mind it does not mean delivery dates come forward too.

Quote from Oxford's MD this evening:-

"For N scale apart form those announced in this release - we have 12 new castings already tooled, which will be announced progressively throughout 2015."

The future looks interesting.

Richard @ N'Tastic Scale Models

Taff has gone of for supper break but coming back to answer some questions, really interesting choices in N some that I thought unlikely, like motor bike and side car.

At the end of their session on Facebook Oxford slipped in CADs of a six wheel Irizar coach, the Landrover Defender, and an oblique mention of a Leyland Royal Tiger coach, all as already in 00 scale.

I really want that AA bike/sidecar :heart2:

Me too!!

Where can I source a saluting patrolman to go with it??  Plus doesn't the equal opportunities commission demand an RAC version. They were more streamlined I seem to recall.

Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

How about a repainted train guard with flag removed and perhaps a little tweak to the arm.
