On my new layout (Trepol Bay), I'm hoping to have a very short (no more than 20 ins max) narrow gauge line with a couple of derelict wagons. It won't be working - just part of the scenery.
What is the best way to achieve that little scenario ?
Z gauge track and see if I can get a wagon or 2 on Ebay ?
Any other ideas ?
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Well, if I was going that far, with Z track, why not make it work?

Didn't Peco put out a kit years ago for an N gauge narrow gauge loco to fit on Z scale chassis?

Or did I dream that as part of me Aussie celebrations.  :pint:

I'm sure they did, though. Even if your Z track is just a straight piece as long as you suggest, you could put an electronic shuttle circuit on it so you'd have narrow gauge action happening!
Just an idea, but integrated narrow gauge on an N scale layout is something that is rare and strikes me as feasible.

Thanks. I hadn't really considered a working narrow gauge line but it is a thought.
I'd imagined a derelict line but you are right, a moving loco and a truck or two would create extra interest.
Maybe a slight curve on the track will be better too.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Many thanks indeed. Some of those wagons are just what I'm after so thank you. Will be ordering in due course.
Nn3 is new to me so do they run on Z scale track?
If so, do you supply track or is that available from other suppliers? Peco, I believe do Z scale flexi track which would suit my needs.  Is that correct ?

Peco  do sell Z Gauge flexible track, but I do not stock it.

Ive still got a few lengths of setrack style z track if you want some. Sort out what you need and I`ll see if I can help.
I may even have some flexi but I would have to raid a hard to get to for that

Thank you indeed. I need 24 inches of straight if possible. I can accommodate a slight curve (and that might be a good thing) but not severe.
If you have enough , please PM with a price and P&P  and we'll sort something.
Many thanks again.

Thanks

Peco  do 2 white metal kits, Z club UK do a diesel shunter and Republic Locomotive Company do some. I have stocked the Peco  and Z club ones in the past.
