Hi all

I know there have been many complaints about bad parcel delivery practice on the forum
But spare a thought for this poor chap  :hmmm:

Very good..  but my daughter is enroute from Australia to the UK via Turkey to be bridesmaid at a wedding in Lincolnshire. She's now in Venice but has left bridesmaid dress in hotel in Turkey.

Any ideas? 'Cause I sure as heck haven't!

I expect you can get UPS/Fed Ex to courier the thing to the UK in that timeframe. Depends on whether the dress is part of a set which matches the other bridesmaids too, otherwise you could take her shopping...

Just don't use HerpHermes, George

Going back to the OP, I wonder how many times the courier lobbed the parcel up there until he got it to stick?

My favourite delivery story...
I was living in Port Moresby, working for Air Niugini.  This was in 1983 before mobile phones and internet etc.  A small airline and we all knew each other.
Some long time friends from UK were on a 'Round the Pacific' cruise, with a day stop in Port Moresby.  So, we met them at the dock, and entertained them for the day, ending with a few drinks at our house before we delivered them back to the dock, for the ship to depart for next destination, Rabaul.
Returning home from the dock, we saw our friend's spectacles on the table. But ship had sailed.
Knowing our friend would be at a loss without her glasses, I nipped down to Flight Ops to see who was Captain of the evening flight to Rabaul. Delivered the glasses to him, quick phone call to Station Manager in Rabaul, and the glasses were handed to our friend as she descended the gangplank in Rabaul next morning.  Of course she was delighted as she had been contemplting the remainder of the cruise with blurred sight.   :) :)
