OK - just downloaded/uploaded/whatever a series of photos onto a new album in the media section , but when I look at them none of them have the zoom option to enlarge them , so obviously I have erred in some way ! Any offers/suggestions (polite or otherwise) ??? Thanks , Ric

Newportnobby

They do enlarge slightly when you click on them, but I think the problem is the size you have uploaded them at (400 x 268)
I'd suggest a minimum of 640 x 480 (the default on mine seems to be 1024 x 768)
Try resizing one and see if it makes a difference :hmmm:

Great , thanks Nobby !! They are pics from several years ago of the Manchester MRS layout Chee Tor , just before it was sold by them into private hands in Canada (as far as I know ) . I was planning to put a post on here letting people know they were there , as I'm sure there will be some people who might want to have a look . When I do that post , do I need to put a link in the post to the album , or will people just be able to access the pics via the media section . If I need to put a link in the post , exactly HOW do I do that ????? Many thanks , Ric

Hi Rick,

If you go to your Albums, put your mouse pointer on top of the album you want to show, then right click and you will get a drop down menu.  Move your mouse pointer down to "Copy Link Address".  This will place it into your clipboard and you will be able to paste it into you post, just like I have below  ;)

Any problems following my direction please get back to me and I will do my best to help you get there

cheers John.

John - CHEERS !!! Have experimented with the resizing (more uncharted territory , BUT 2 mins on Google told me how to do that ) , found what looks like the best size so will work through the resizing , & then do the post which hopefully will have a working link with it !! Thanks again , Ric

Actually Mod chaps and chapessess, I have an issue with the Media section as well.

I don't seem to be getting any notifications of new pictures in the Media section, I used to get a number in brackets alongside the word Media when I had pictures I hadn't viewed, but that seems to have disappeared, any ideas???

Cheers

Neal.

Hi Neal,

We are aware of this problem and are looking into it  ;)

It appears to have have started after the downtime we experienced recently.

I miss it as well and hope this will be resolved soon

cheers John.

They are some great pics of one of my favourite layouts, Ric

Yeah, I just took a squizz at 'em as well. Great pics of a great all-time classic layout. Thanks for posting!

Have you hugged your locomotive today.

Scotsoft - John , still trying to do this link thing (more muppetry) , does the wording I'm looking for have to be exactly 'copy link address' ? Can't see that when I right click BUT I can see 'copy shortcut' in a couple of places .....when the curser is over the name of the file , & when it's over the + sign to the left of the album name .  Thanks , Ric (thinks : I'll get this sorted if it kills me !)

Newportnobby

Hi Ric,
Another way round this is to look for the link address above the Google toolbar (very top left of the screen and will read http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN...........)
Right click on that, then 'Copy', then go to your post on the forum and right click then 'paste' and the link should appear

Bigric

OK , thanks Nobby ! Will have a go at that one when I do the post later on !! Thanks again , Ric
