Sorry if this has already been discussed but I can't find anywhere.

Is there a list in web land listing class 47's that have had filled in headcode recesses', i.e im looking for something to turn the farish 47535 model into apart from 47458/47522.

47449 and 47489 one end only.

any help greatly received

Hi Andi, yep trawled through hundreds of low res pictures on there.  found quite a few with one end rebulit but not 2.

190 and 614 spring to mind off the top of my head.

Double flush ended a minority with 47190/299/522/787 hadbeen-823/610 and 853 -had been 614

Did you have any particular number locomotive in mind ? I have the Modern Locomotives Illustrated pubs for the Class 47's and so plenty of photographs.
From my recollection, the flush front ends only initially were result of accident damage so very few would be flush both ends until the "life extension programmes" kicked in ....and the Class 57's of course !

Ideally one in LL so I can just renumber the existing 535, but looks like I might have to respray.

614 could be your option then and you can decorate it with either ED dog or Inverness Highland Rail stag as it carried both at different times.

There's a photo of 47526 in the Modern Locos Illustrated profile, dated 1991 and showing a Flush No. 1 End so I would guess that was a rebuild after a crash. The livery is VERY tatty !

Back in the old days of the model rail supplements in Rail Magazine they did a survey of 47 with rebuilt cabs, even noting details of flush or recessed marker lights. Very comprehensive.

I'd happily scan and post here, but not sure on the copyright issues. Could a moderator advise please?
