Am currently trying out a "Beta" version of the above product, which allows me to purchase magazines online (such as BRM) and view them on my PC.
This is because most U.K. magazine publishers who you can subscribe to wont send printed versions to me here in Tenerife.
Paid for and picked out the June edition of BRM to test the software out and it appears to work at first glance (the software is free).
Not quite the same as reading a paper version though, mainly where small print is involved, although you can enlarge each page as much as you like.

Anybody else using it, especially those who live outside of the U.K.?
You can download the App to Apple devices (and probably other similar devices too), but I haven't got an Ipod or Ipad or one of it's competitors.

Just be aware that you dont own online subscriptions so if you leave the company you subscribe to all your magazines will disappear.

I wasn't aware of that, but I can always print out the parts I want to keep on my PC printer beforehand.

As far as I know this only applies to Railway Modeller or Continental Modeller. With the BRM issue you can download all copies  to your own computer, so once you have downloaded them you can keep them, I think Model Rail is the same.

I agree with Chris regarding the different subscription models, as far as I know you keep your Pocketmags magazines even if you unsubscribe unlike those of Railway Modeller and Continental Modeller. There's a whole thread somewhere about this.

I get most of my digital magazines through Pocketmags and am very impressed with them. They have a very good helpline with staff who have answered all my silly questions very promptly and politely.

They also have quite good special offers so I have been able to get single copies of various magazines for 99p.

Digital magazines are the only safe and cost effective solution for me because we have a dreadful postal service who seem to go on strike every year and specialise in losing things.

If you add a pdf generator (eg Primo pdf) then you can simply 'print' a pdf file, meaning you have a permanent copy on your pc and saving a forest the size of Wales.

I have always been able to print part or whole of PDF files without the need for any special software - why would you need a pdf generator? For example Minutes of Committee Meetings on our complex are always sent out as pdf attachments to an email for owners to view & print out themselves wherever they may be.

Confusingly; I didn't mean 'print' when I said 'print'
It's a method of saving any document/page that you can display as a pdf; thus allowing future viewing.
