Now Ive been pondering on this for a few months now

What do we wear when we are railway modelling?
I know that when I am tracklayingor pinning/gluing it all down I tend to wear the same things every time.
In this case stot shoes/boots, dirty dark grey jeans with oil smudges, a grey open necked shirt, a hi vis jacket (Screwfix supply) and ayellow hard hat.
When inspecting my previous work or planning new works I obviously wear my best dark suit ,heavy black polished shoes spotless hi vis jacket and a white hard hat.
Kit bashing and building sees me in a dirty string vest , builders bum jeans or shorts and filthy trainers.
Electrics of course see me in kevlar one piece overall with built in grounging strip and (apart from when I got burnt last week kevler gloves.
For just watching trains go by.....a bubble hat ,a multi colured jumper and a grey hoody, worn out jeans and stinking trainers.
Ive still got to buy my signalmans outfit and a stationmasters pinstripe suit with bowler hat (Ive got the hat already).

(have to  admit though as its hot in the train room today I have only been wearing my pink hi vis mankini)

Now I know you're not being serious 'cos we men don't read manuals
My preference is for a backless boiler suit and high heeled army hobnail boots which I believe will trump your mankini and provide more nightmares for our readers

If you're wearing a backless boiler suit I'd prefer it if you didn't trump anywhere!

Exactly why I have retained the compression support stockings left over from my hip operation. You just never know when you might need such things.

you must be mad. I hacked  mine to pieces the moment I was told I could take them off after my prostrate op.
