ok so this is a bit random...

when cables have to be laid through a narrow tunnel or under a bridge what happens?

do they normally come out of the cable troughs and then run a metre or so above the ground attached to the tunnel / bridge wall?

I have carefully laid cable troughs down one side of my track bed but when it gets to the bridges at each end it just stops... which seems wrong to me!!! So I'm thinking that maybe the cable needs to come above ground and run through the bridges attached to the walls... and maybe the cables run through a larger plastic tube or square plastic trunking???

any suggestions??? has anyone got any pictures of how they have done this on their layout?

it's funny how I tolerate so many inaccuracies on my layout, and yet this randomly is bothering me and so I plan to fix it....

It depends. I don't think any of those is wrong. There isn't always clearance for ducting

I'll try to add some cables and or trunking to the wall of the bridge at one end and see if it looks ok

I have added cable troughs, a few orange tubes under the tracks to carry cables, manual point levers in the depot yard, dummy point motors on mainline, and some relay boxes and of course signals so I think I have the infrastructure in place ok now. I need to add a few lineside signs still.
