Wrong scale but realisation of a childhood dream

I wrote to Santa 3 years running to no avail from the age of 6, but finally I have my own Mallard!

Would love one in N but for now here's No.130 of The Great Goodbye collection.

Awesome, thanks for the link. I was going go keep it boxed and never use it but temptation got the better of me. It's a shame to hide the most beautiful loco ever created in a box too!

Lovely model

saw them at York for the "Gathering" and at Shildon a few weeks ago for "The Great Goodbye"

was really atmospheric seeing the six of them outside the shed at Shildon on a cold February day with three of them in steam.

My favourite loco, for many different reasons.
