Rest assured that every 'Boomer' here knows exactly what is what.  I'm one myself, so of course, we ARE 'talking about my generation', even if we can't now say that I can see for miles, and miles , and miles ... (tho we could at one time )

Isn't a 'boomer' a male kangaroo? According to Rolf Harris anyway, as in "Six White Boomers", which is probably what I was listening to (along with "Pinky & Perky" - don't go there, very scary! ) at the time you lot were listening to these Who people. According to Wikipedia their fourth album came out the year I popped into the world

If you think Pinky and Perky were scary you evidently haven't watched 'Bill and Ben', 'Noggin the Nog' or 'Ivor'.

The fact that I can even recall the names shows how ingrained they became...

Be very, very thankful - you missed nothing...

(But then before that, there was STEAM RADIO!!!!!)

I know Noggin the Nog and Ivor the Engine very well, BIG BIG fan of Smallfilms productions and particularly their ultimate masterpiece - The Clangers

The sad thing for me as "The Who" rose to prominence I was a rocker, ie leather jacket long hair and motorcycle and it was pretty well known "The Who" where mod's ( not a ref to the mod's on here of course). I was introduced to their music by my sister and has music goes they were good. By the way I was not into all the fighting that went on a that time ,mod's and rockers etc, I'm peace loving and only 5'-1" so usually avoid such things........

It was an interesting time. I pined after one of those motor scooters with all the mirrors all over 'em, but me father wouldn't get me one and I certainly couldn't afford one!
