Hello
I'm after advice on what Halfords acrylic paints you use to represent some of the BR blue era colours.  Rail blue, Rail Grey and Coach/DMU Roof Grey from the 1970s era are most needed, but if you know of others, that would be great.
I have Grahame Hedges list from his latest book (p62 if you have it), but it doesnt cover these colours!
Thanks in advance

There isn't a good match for the blue or yellow to be honest - the suggested Vauxhaull mustard yellow is the wrong shade by far (but is perfect for Cawoods containers), the blue is iffy. They do make good base coats if you then do a single over coat of the right blue or yellow.

The colour underneath also matters a lot for car paints. I use Rover Damask Red over black for BR Maroon, but over white gives you a reasonable BR crimson instead.

Sorry guys i should have been more accurate - and I really should have expected replies from both of you in any case :)

I have got Ford Ocean Blue for the BR Blue (it was on the shelves in Melton Mowbray - must be a rush of BR modellers asking for it), and I have found Rover Tempest Grey is good for GWR/BR Mermaid ballast wagon livery too.
Twas the Rail Grey I was really stumped on.

Is it really impossible to use enamel aerosols on 3D models if they are primed with acrylic primer?
