I get my BT phone and internet bills online every month without problem,
a couple of times there has been an email stating some error in my account
or contract .

I noticed spelling errors and there was a PDF file attached so I deleted
the messages without opening them . My BT account continues as normal.
I wondered if anyone else has received such a message. I would contact BT
but can't be bothered talking to someone in Bombay for an hour.

I think the scammers have realised that we're now wise to dodgy looking e-mails from banks so they've moved onto other organisations.

A while back the other half got an e-mail, supposedly from the Post Office, saying that they were holding onto a parcel.  Now a lot of people might believe that given the rise in internet shopping but she wasn't fooled i.e. nothing ordered recently that hadn't already been delivered.

Anyway back on topic as long as your phone works and the online bills look OK continue to trash anything that looks odd.

Anything I think is a scam I search 'google'. In your case just search BT scam and you will
get this. Just follow the instructions or link.

Works for all scams. Just search the one received and send 'header/link' to the appropriate scam link.
