So the unions got around the no drinking at work rules then

Is there any history behind that photo (I'm assuming it's real and not a photoshop)? It looks like the after effects of an earthquake although the railbed and the terrain around it don't look like they've shifted.

   There wasn't an explanation with the picture, but I'm certain the picture has been adjusted! 

What's wrong with that?
All my trackwork looks like it.
