Just think how much more of the Scottish railways he could have modelled if he had used the proper gauge.

The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Agrippa

He's spent a lot of time, money and effort on that set up, the only thing is the named stations etc are nothing like the real thing!  :D

One heckuva layout, but how does he see into the next room(s) when he's operating it ???

And, if I were the neighbours I'd be checking the spare room to make sure he hasn't tunnelled through :worried:

Although I did not see any cameras I did notice in one shot he had a small TV monitor by the controls.

At 0:15, just after Mallaig, you can see a CCTV camera mounted above the line.

The stations aren't prototypical but that doesn't matter one bit, I reckon he's got the layout he's always wanted right there, squeezing everything in!

Of course if it was N gauge etc etc... ;D

If you mean the 'black' object by the door frame, I think you will find that's one of the old style
light switches ;)

Is that what it is?! This is the yoof of today, we don't know our switches from our CCTV! ;D

Bad Raven

Well, apart from seeing it to run it, there's the little matter of maintenance, dust, spiders, track cleaning, etc........

Very much doubt much of it is truely operable in practical terms at any one time!

I didn't see any access hatches, so how does he get to the back of the layout when he derails something, and we've all done that. Does he have 8' arms?
