Friends,

With our pool of knowledge can someone suggest how I could get either the inbuilt calculator or a small downloadable programme for a calculator on my desktop?

I need to frighten myself with just how much I have been spending on my indulgences!

Peter.

You mean you haven't got an abacus clipped to your monitor, Peter?
What a Luddite!

Friends,

Thankyou for all the assistance, it is greatly appreciated!

Now for the gory bit!

Tonight I will take a stiff drink and contemplate my future!  (Anaesthetic!)

Since starting my layout last year, I have so far spent £1,318 on just trying to get it going!

No doubt I will continue to purchase bits and pieces as and when needed!

Regards, Peter.

Mind you I read a couple of weeks ago that calculators can be very dangerous. Kids who are allowed to use calculators in exams have been asked to add 5 pounds 23 pence to 85 pence and submitting en masse answers of £93.23.

Work it out.

If it puts your mind at rest, Peter, in September last year my pre-orders for locos/stock totalled over £1300 :worried:

I think you are all very brave. I wouldn't dare add up what I've spent over the last 18 months. :D
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Luckily, there is no calculator paper this year for 10/11 year olds sitting their SATs...

Oh dear!  :worried:

Since January 2013

Track Elecs etc £501
Locos £1994
Wagons £695
Coaches £758
Pre orders £753

Not complaining but that comes to quite a lot! Better put a password on the spreadsheet and then forget what it is!

More to the point, Dave, never let SWMBO know the password
Do you have a pipe leading into the house to smuggle all the stock through? :D

Mmmmm. About £1000 justified and £3600 addiction cost. You're going to get caught.

Even easier way to access Calculator:-

Go into 'Start' - 'All Programs' - 'Accessories', with your cursor hovering over 'Calculator' right-click then select 'Send to' - 'Desktop (create shortcut)'. This will give you an icon on your desktop to click on to open calculator instead of dislocating your fingers trying to press three keys at once ;)
