I sure wouldn't be happy to be driving along & then that thing "ate" my car 

Interesting how the solid rail bus 'carriages' appeared to flex like a snake as they went around bends in the road! Flexible structure?? Let's hope they never get too crowded inside when that happens, or we'll have to talk of crush hour rather than rush hour!!!!!

Trucks and low bridges come to mind !!!

Far too dangerous for other road users.  Also, having lifts on each bus is a crazy idea and a waste of money in my opinion.  Great idea though!

Bet we see it in the far east in about 10 years!

Lovely idea if a few practical issues. I bet some plonker would still manage to get their truck wedged under one.

WHAT ??  Peterborough have a working bus system!   not going to happen - you would still need to catch 3 busses to go 3 miles down the road...

Serious mode -   if this where to overtake you the illusion of going backwards would be very disorientating - even if they claim otherwise in the video.   Also a bus, truck or any tall vehicle is still going to hold it up - maybe they should look at telescoping "legs" too?

Although I liked the layout inside, I was a bit disappointed to notice there was no bar!

 

I loved the emergency evacuation chutes that terminated about a metre or more above the carriageway. It would be interesting to see the lawsuits for broken bones and the health and safety executive report about people being allowed onto the carriageway (head first, at that).

Overall it reminds me of a fantasy railway I saw in an issue of Look & Learn in the early seventies. I'd love to see them adapt it for the rush hour in London.

I suspect that there may be an element of CGI in some parts of the clip
