Well I have not been giving much input for a while and the model railway has had to take a back seat due to decorating, in the middle of regrouting the tiles in the kitchen, finished the hall stairs and landing last week that was a mammoth task, the bathroom as had a big tidy up with the bath resealed and ceiling painted new light fittings throughout the house, and early next year and 2 more rooms to decorate, I tell you there is no peace for the wicked hey up theres the wife shouting what have you stopped for lol anyone want to swap.

Seriously, though, I'm also stuck with the decorating, so I've nothing to swap you.

I kinda agree with the mrs now i look back i should have done these jobs months ago :D
OK I also agree with your wife to some extent but you can claim that you could/would have made a far better job of it if you had left it till next week  ;)

Plenty of sympathy from this end!

Last year I redecorated a whole cottage and that took an age. Sold the place within a fortnight though.

This year it seems to have been a repeat but in the current home. Virtually no railway time at all.

New bathroom including replacement plaster on ceilings and walls being the most recent bit of work. Now the dreaded hall stairs and landing where I'll need a small tower to reach the ceiling that was damaged during a water leak.

Still enjoying the contact through the Forum so that's keeping me up to date and having a bit of fun.

Well Geoff, I've had mine for 30 years this coming Tuesday and am just about getting used to the current model, not sure if I would want to swap her and start all over again, good of you to offer though  ;)

last Christmas I got a Labrador puppy for my wife - I thought that wasn't a bad swap.

Geoff

Seriously I would never swap my lovely wife she puts up with so much, and the yearly decorating is a joy when I have finished and look at my handy work, so not long now until I can get back to modelling.
