Friends,

If I have a Setrack curve that is marked underneath with No.3 does this mean that it is 3rd. radius?

I have several marked thus and some more marked No. 4 are they 4 th. radius too?

Sounds logical, Peter, but having never used it I can't confirm or deny

If you have enough ofthem put a semicircle together and measure the diameter, R1 is 9" radius/18" diam, R2 10.75"/21.5" Diam R3 11.75"/23.5Diam, R4 size is not quoted onthe Peco site but probably around 25"+ diameter.

Or, even if you dont have a semi
just an arc,
lay a tangent at each end of the arc, set a rightangle to them and see how far away they intersect.

I dunno but it would seem perverse for peco to label a 3rd radius with owt other than a number 3 ??

R3 is 299mm rad, or as Mike says 11.75" and 23.5" Dia     R4 is 333.4mm, or 13.125" rad - 26.25" Dia

Agreed, but there is just a chance that is a mould mark. Ie its a mark that indicates what machine made it for Q/A purposes.  Check a bunch of the same part if the numbers differ its a mould mark.

Seems to be the radius having looked at mine too
