Unless you live in Wales when it started at 11.05 pm. They always do this so that something of far greater interest like advanced coracle building, or slate cutting for the family man, can have the 9 pm prime slot first.

I feel really old now, cos that IOW concert was the only time I ever went to an outdoor venue. Group of us went to celebrate leaving school.

As a former Jimi Hendrix fan club member, headbanger, hippie, fantastic clothing that got me banned from pubs etc. etc. I can remember so clearly sitting in a bean bag with my headphones, high on certain substances and alcohol, never bothering with sleeping.  That was for wimps!

I can also remember waking up sometime the next day with not a hangover, wrong word, more of a fuzzy recollection of why I couldn't hear properly and my eyes wouldn't focus!

As Marianne Faithfull sang "Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end!"
