Tonight at work we had rescue trolley training at the rail yards and whilst there 3642 steam locomotive came into the yard to stable it's train for the night before it does its heritage rail tour out of Sydney central tomorrow. Small world one of the drivers is a son of a member of our live steam model club so my crew got an invite for a ride in the loco. One of my crew is a mad nswgr HO modeller and was very happy, I later found out be bad never been in a loco before. So we all had a run and even had to extinguish a fire as a result of the loco. Not sure how they will get on tomorrow as there is a total fire ban. Could not have asked for a better shift got paid and got to play trains , big trains
