I have got to the stage where I don't know what route to take.
I have several layouts built but don't use them.
My original Layout Lyne End, my 5 different shoe box modules, and now Willow Brickworks are all either complete or nearing completion.
My original Japanese layouts are long gone although I still have all the buildings.

The track is all fixed and has been ballasted so probably won't be removable without damaging it. Some is also embeded in filler etc to make yards.

I enjoy building the layouts but when nearing completion I seem to loose interest and don't run trains.

Some of  this is due to limited space, but most of it I think is because I enjoy the  challenge of getting things built.

Storage issues aside - they will all probably end up in the loft - I have come to the stage where I don't know what to do.
Have plans for at least 2 more layouts and the structures are stored on my back up hard disc. :confused2: ???

If building them is what you enjoy then keep building...there is no rule that says you must then run trains on them!

Agreed.

I'm the same; can't imagine running many trains on my layout when (if!?) it's ever finished.

All about the creation for me

You could always offer them for sale on here, I'm sure someone would be interested. At least that way you could recoup some cash to plough into your new projects.

Decision Made  :uneasy:
Every thing going up into the loft, apart from rolling stock and electronics
Japanese town going up as well.

The only thing staying down will be my mini diorama for taking photos on.

28 boxes of stuff gone to the loft so far.
Still got 5 shoebox modules to go up and 4 baseboards ( which will go through the loft hatch.
Only thing I'm not sure about is where to put about 30-35 card buildings.

Everything now stacked away.
Unbuilt stuff accessible so can build stuff when I want.
Tools, glues and paints still within easy reach.

Brickyard board currently under the bed,SWMBO has approved until I decide where I can store it.

Std Gauge N has been put on hold until further notice but have a couple of little projects in the pipeline.
Probably sizewise similar to my shoebox modules.
