Not alcohol in this heat generally (impairs the ability to solder and paint straight ;))

Some years back at a blazing hot Cropredy folk festival I simply gave up trying to drink enough and started filling my hat with water and upending it over my head every hour or so.

Worked wonders, but the hat never recovered.

A nice cold glass of Ginger Beer especially Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer!

Although a cold drink may be refreshing at the time of consumption, in actual fact all your body does then is work extra hard to bring the cold drink up to the temperature inside you.
On that basis, I drink tea and in the last 2 weeks have probably drunk more tea than I have in the last 2 years as I am a self confessed coffeeholic

I'm with you Mick, a nice mug of sweet tea.

In fact when I used to play cricket down Happy Valley in Cyprus, when the game finished the lads used to disappear to the Albatross Club for a few beers, me?? I used to go home, have a mug of hot sweet tea and then go down the Ross to celebrate our victory, or commiserate on our loss, whatever!!!

Hot chocolate, although I have been supplementing it with plenty of water at the moment during work as it's 30 degrees in here (in new money)

Oddly enough a fair few cans of lager seem to be vanishing during the evenings at the moment :hmmm:

Pastis - a.k.a. Ricard, 51, etc.
