I commute/work 13 hours a day and found little time for model making.

I've 'created' between 2.5 and 5 hours a week by using my lunch breaks.

I've got a small tool kit (scapel, razor saw, swiss files, tweezers, rule, brush and glue) in my desk.

An advantage working in short bursts is that the glue dries before I try and add another component which could knock the first one off!

Its been suggested that I should bring my baseboards in! lol At Nokia we had a 'hobbies day' where I put LGB around my cubilcle

I'm at home most of the time doing housework but that's an advantage as far as modelling goes, I can do a bit of modelling and while the glue or paint is drying carry on with the housework 

I don't envy those of you with office jobs, finding time after work when you are tired and at weekends must be difficult especially with family demands. When my children were small I stopped modelling completely for a few years.

I know of quite a few people who do some modelling during their lunch hours at work and some like me who always take a couple of small modelling projects with them on holiday to keep them occupied in case the weather is bad.

That's a tough one, after 13 hours my guess that if you did do any modelling you would propping up your eyelids with match sticks! 

But what about the weekends, do you work those too?

Looking good there Michael  i  clicked on  the link   &  found  on hitting  log in i'm a memember on there  no idea when i  joined      look forward to seeing more on the build.

I also do a bit of Military modelling...Tanks and trucks mainly 1/35 scale.
Not sure about books but search for info/articles by Mig Jimenez and Adam Wilder.....two of the heavyweights of military modelling/Painting/Weathering.

Like DS  Michael i  do other modelling  HO    railways  (i know the darkide)   & at the moment here it's like transport cafe    had a 1/24  truck kit arrive this morning two more on the way &   a couple on the bench under construction.

Nice work, well done for squeezing in the time! I work in a primary school and run my own photography business. There isn't much time for modelling as such but I do have my layout running around the monitor so I can at least see my RTR stuff doing it's thing.
Because my work is seasonal, I should find a bit more time after the summer to paint/weather wagons and maybe make a few wagon loads.

We've just moved house so I've finally got the room to seriously think about starting my railway but I have always done plastic scale modelling. I normally get about an hour in before I go to work in the mornings (of course, waking up at 5.30 helps with that. ).
