Considering the wealth of experience on this forum....

What has been your most challenging N Gauge Modelling task you have undertaken and completed?

For me....breaking  the news to my wife I wanted to build one and then negotiating were it would be kept!

Got to say that "the misses" has been very supportive and quite appreciative of it since!

Richard - Stop before the buffers!

:help:  Simple one this, building my brickworks kiln.
The other one was finding the money to pay for all the bits I have accumulated. :-X
Modelling stupid small scale using T gauge track and IDl induction track. Still have  N gauge but not the space( Japanese Trams) Excuse spelling errors please, posting on mobile phone

Wiring - the very thought of it and any sort of electrickery fills me with dread and foreboding :worried: I know I'm not going to harm myself with the small voltages involved, but I have to tackle feeds, points, signals and lighting at some point. Gulp!
I have read many books/websites but any wiring diagram just fuses my 2 remaining brain cells. I've jury rigged electrics to make sure everything runs as I want it to, but must soon make the wiring proper, and have the feeling the swear box will fill rapidly ;)
Never had a problem with ladies/model railways as I always used the excuse "Well, at least you know where I am. I could be in town whooping it up (not Leyland, I hasten to add)"

Location, location, location !

I have spent my entire modelling life dodging the 'authorities' and trying to find a place to house my creations...
One day i'll get that holy grail known as a 'spare room' but until then everything has to stay portable.

Just need those 6 magic numbers....  :D
If it's got rails... you have my full, undivided attention - Steam, diesel and electric, 'tis all good !

On it at the moment. Getting the room and house ready for my first attempt :D
I keep forgetting to add Cheers Mike on the end of my posts....

So.....  Cheers Mike
