From the movie 'Unstoppable'. Wrong scale I know, but still cool ! I'd like the F units in AMROAD from 'Silverstreak'.

I've often wondered if anybody has ever modeled the train from Little House on the Prairie?

I've never found any on Google

I have seen a model of "Titfield Thunderbolt" in N Gauge, on a quite well-known layout whose name escapes me  ???

I think it was by a/the Chester Model railway club.

I noticed the "Missile Train" in the Bond movie Goldeneye, looks suspiciously like a Class 20. Betting that would be a fairly easy one to mod :)

Haven't seen a Bond film since "Goldfinger",  but is this what you mean?

Nice !

I think it's about time somebody did a UK based 'Runaway' disaster movie - it might need a wee bit of baulking out to hide the relatively short distances. It would be easy to create a fictional rail company to avoid any embarrassment, and it may be a good idea to ask a few modellers for tech advice as we rarely miss a trick !  :-X

Great video, as a big Bond fan it was most enjoyable. At the James Bond exhibition
in Glasgow a few years ago the actual locomotive prop was on display, not sure what
scale but it was about the length of of a golf club. ( I pride myself on precision)

Plenty of scope for modelling train scenes from the movies
Von Ryan's Express                         FS
The Great Escape                            DB
The Runaway Train                          ?
The Lady Vanishes                          DB
Once upon a time in the West         Santa Fe ?
North by Northwest                         Penn Central
North West Frontier                         Indian State Railways under the Raj

In the final part of " The Day of the Jackal" , Edward Fox boards a diesel hauled train for Paris
where he will shoot De Gaulle . When the train arrives in Paris it is electric hauled.
That's the magic of the movies.

In  the Sherlock Holmes B&W film "Terror by Night" Holmes and Watson travel on an overnight
train from London to Glasgow. As the train crosses the border into Scotland it passes under mountain peaks
of Alpine proportions.

Useless movie trivia for you but the Goldeneye missile train was in actual fact a class 20 with fake fiberglass 'add ons' on to its shell to make it look mean and Soviet.

re Soviet trains , there was a tale a while back about the USSR building a fleet
of steam locos so that their railways could operate after a nuclear attack.
Not sure if this was true or a load of tosh like red mercury.

Must check Woodland Scenics for N gauge nuclear mushrooms.

For those who want to do a winter layout  with a kettle there is always Polar Express. Could be a challenge doing the bits at the north pole.
Modelling stupid small scale using T gauge track and IDl induction track. Still have  N gauge but not the space( Japanese Trams) Excuse spelling errors please, posting on mobile phone

This is not the first time this has been up for sale, I caught it a few months ago at a similar price so they must be having difficulty shifting it.

cheers John.

Night of the Demon, one of the best British SciFi /horror films
of the B&W era, early 60s? Dana Andrews + many British character
actors. Try modelling the final scene !
