My wife is terrible at waiting.  She can't shop online because things take a day or two to arrive. :confused1:
I told her think yourself lucky your hobby is shoes and not model trains.  I have to wait a year or two!!! ::)

So, here's the waiting list I am currently itching to get my hands on.  All are on pre-order from Hattons (N gauge) and Model Fair (O gauge)...

O gauge:
Dapol 08
Heljan 52

N Gauge:
Dapol 33
Dapol 50
Dapol 52 x 4  :o
Farish 31 (thanks to Ollie yesterday  )
Dapol Pannier in LT livery ???

I'm also 'rather keen' for Bob to get the 1959 Tube Stock ready.  I need a 7-car and an 8-car set. :-[

I lost hope on the gasholders from Bachmann ever arriving, so i doubt Rails will ever get to fulfill that pre-order. :veryangry:

At least the long wait means I can save up a bit, and budget knowing what is coming. :'(

I'm currently resisting the Blue Pullman (at least until the Western region version comes out) and the Brighton Belle.  Neither are my eras and are a bit expensive as static models... :-\

I think this is a really exciting time to be modelling trains with all the new stock to choose from. :laugh3:

But the waiting...! :scowl:

When it comes to waiting for models, for me their is no particular problem. On the other hand, today I waited more than an hour to speak to somebody at the bank for them to correct their problem - I restrained my tongue for the teller but told the team leader what I thought !

I've been waiting three years for Dapol to bring out a Pendolino and I will probably still be waiting in another three years time . . .  :(

Was waiting for Farish to bring out a SWT Desiro, rumours of it coming last year but my hopes have been dashed again . . . :(

Now waiting for the Brighton Belle . . .  lets hope it is third time lucky!!

I hate the waiting too especially when what I am waiting for fails to materialise

Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy

As a young person I was terrible at waiting but since being in the Armed Services many years ago, everything was "Hurry up and wait", in other words rush around like headless chickens and then wait, and wait, and wait.........

So now I'm waiting and waiting and waiting, for the latest Farish Class 37's in various Railfreight colours and rake of the new Mk2 coaches to go behind my 47's. I'm still pondering over Dapol's new 50's.
Today's Experts were yesterday's Beginners :)

I usually am happy to wait - and buy what I am after when it has been available for a while, and then only when the prices go down!  :D

1959 Tube Stock - Last few test bits in production now and due in shortly.

If the bogies fit correctly, then I have a viable kit ready to offer.

The design uses the TM-05 unmodified for simplicity. More details soon..........................

On another note, I have been designing the Tanktainer for a lot more than 2 years and the chap who originally asked me to have a go has just ordered a load. His wait has been for over 5 years.  :-[

Ooooh!  I can hardly wait!  See what I mean... it's all just too exciting!  That will be a whole new project to get underway.

I've waited so long for the Farish Ivatt Mickey Mouse that I just don't care any more. It'll arrive when it arrives ::)
On the other hand I really REALLY can't wait for the Dapol class 22 which seems to be coming from China by kayak >:(
I have so much on pre order that my bank balance is glad they'll come in dribs and drabs

Have you heard something I haven't :worried: I believe there were never plans for this so I cheated and bought the Midland one

Mustermark

No, I think you are right.  I have seen no plans for it either, but they aren't getting my cash for a static model until they do!!!

Nice list you are waiting for Mark and I hope you get it all, if I was waiting for a list like that I would be paranoid

I quite understand your Wife getting stressed waiting for things to arrive through the mail, I am the same but its because I worked for the Post Office for 24 years and know how much stuff went walking, sent to the wrong address or got broken

If the boat with all my pre-orders came in tomorrow I'd have to sell body parts to cover the debt

Come to think of it, what with all the wear and tear, that would cover the bill!  :worried:

As my old dad used to say; "It's only money!" (He didn't have any either!) :claphappy:

I think the secret is to be happy with what you have got.....
As soon as what you have been waiting for arrives,we then move on to waiting for the next big thing so we are in a perpetual state of waiting anyway. :confused1:
Must admit though,i hate waiting when you have been given a release date and then that day comes and then you find it has been put back a couple of months (or years)  :'(

Too busy making things to have time to wait 8)
