Hello Chaps.

Got myself a lovely 3 car Grafar 101, followed by the inevitable sight of small detail parts pinging out of my tweezers for the carpet monsters to feast on...
Anyhoo, sent an email off to the service boys and got a reply (a week or so later, which is pretty much what they said) saying they have no spare detail packets unless they get a return in...  :'(
Seems a bit crap to me but ho hum...

Unless anyone has a couple of spare packets of 101 detail parts 

Oh well... I've now got a couple of Dapol 86s to tackle... including nameplates! 

That is aggravating.  Someone is bound to have a spare, coz we only usually do one end, right?  What did you lose???

Two tips...

1. Empty the vacuum cleaner and then vacuum the carpet and sift out the bits you lost.  Could take three vacuumings to pick up the bit you lost.

2. A tiny dob of blu tak on the tweezer ends or on the bit itself.  The first method makes it stick to the tweezers and not ping out, but makes the job harder.  The second way means that when it pings it doesn't go far and is easier to see.

If you put a sock over the end of the hoover it'll often stop any small escapees going up the pipe so you can just remove them. Very handy for finding small bits of etch and escaped N scale people.
