Whilst it's easy to be critical of poor service, I have to give top marks to Rails.

My B1 had developed a little running issue at slow speed, narrowed down to the tender drive rather than the engine's mechanism.

Bearing in mind my original purchase was in December, I took back the loco (current incarnation about 2 months old) for Ollie or Pete to inspect. I would have been more than happy to leave it with them as I'm in the process of building my board.

However, without question, Pete grabbed another loco, took my old one in and that was that. Very satisfied customer to say the least.

It just goes to show that mail order is not always the way, especially when it comes to loco's. Today's experience is confirmation that my decision to stick to one supplier (bar specials or end of line item's) is more than justified.

So thanks again, loco happily running in as I type.
