Hi all just a quick question does anyone know if you can get pre formed loads for the farish auto ballasters yet.

I havent seen anything like that from Farish yet. I hope they do.

I've never seen any I'm afraid.  Have a go yourself....  I'd say the easiest way is to glue a flat piece of plastic reasonably near the top (so you don't have to fill the whole wagon) and then sprinkle your ballast on top, then PVA.

. . . and if you want the loads to be removable just line the wagon with clingfilm first, then place the plastic in (on top of a spacer if necessary) and glue your ballast load on top. When dry pull it out using the cling film and peel it from the 'load'.

You can also usefully glue steel scrap onto the bottom of the load you've made so you can use a magnetic wand to remove the load later. Sadly most wagons are too light to do it with a giant magnet hidden in a goods shed
