I consider 'ready to plonk' a load of plonk, the price/quality makes it even more plonk, honestly is it value for money?. I think we use RTP because for what ever reason (time, skill, availability) we have no other option. Cheers john.

I voted for Scratch building and kits, my preference is card kits for 3 reasons, 1/ they are cheap, 2/ they are easy to build, 3/ they are easy to modify.

Voted for card (Metcalfe so far) and RTP as I have one of the latter.

Limited skills have made me avoid any serious scratch building so far although I enjoy doing the scenic work. Proper permanent workspace may encourage me me to start but that's for post the house move and that isn't decided yet.

Hi there,
I voted for Kit and Scratchbuild, I mainly use Scalescenes, keeping all textures looking the same.
I like to start each day the same, sit up and take a deep breath!
First objective for the day achieved, woohoo!!!
