Thanks for posting, that is very, very, very exciting! Also, love the little old 14xx - I assume it's pre-Dapol? And are the wheels plain brass?

The photos were taken on the 2mmFS layout 'Tucking Mill' - I have no idea to the history of the 14xx model or its construction, only that which is in the photo caption... It is nice though, isn't it?  :)

In April 2024 I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by doing at least 100 press-ups every day.  Feel free to click on the picture to go to the donations page if you would like to help me to reach my target.

To follow the construction of my layout "Longcroft" from day 1, you'll have to catch the fish below first by clicking on it which isn't difficult right now as it's frozen!

Just bought this, not 100% happy about the finish. Also is the body supposed to hold onto the chassis or does it just sit on there loosely?

They often do. Bear in mind these were made around 1988, so the finish won't be as crisp as something produced today.

Still looks a fairly clean and tidy model, with upgraded wheels and chassis too.

Cheers,
Alan

Think I'll tidy some of the colours up, this one has already been renumbered as per the example I wanted.
Next to get the name plates and badge to complete it, oh and apply my vinyls to a rake of mk2 coaches I have.

Tragically not, but I have received intelligence indicating that a goods train bearing vital supplies from the Continent will reach Eitetsumura in the next week or so.  :beers: :beers:

Just purchased this wee best from my local emporium.  Couldn't resist at the price

Hi Jonny,

Is that one of the latest 08?  And for £10?

That is a serious bargain!
