Beautiful model, very tempted as I really need an express LMS loco and the crimson looks wonderful.

it was £65 from taiwan so not bad really!

it's a bit noisy - have run it half an hour each direction.  i might oil it if it's not quieter after more running.  it looks very nice though.

cheers,

I've gone and done it again, I only went in the shop to pickup a Dapol light bar and walked out with this ...

Wrong scale, wrong country, please forgive me!  :P

Swedish Rc6 electric loco in original orange livery, to be put in the cupboard for display in my railway room...

Hey, there's a thread for these weird European beasties  :D

Another BR Mk1 Horsebox joins my collection.  With racecourses at nearby Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon (and Cheltenham a little further away) it seems reasonable that Claverdon would have seen a fair number of horses going by rail.

Found a couple of unboxed pieces of rolling stock at a Toy & Train Fair last weekend along with a pristine (reprinted) 1961 Combined Volume.
The book was £4 and the rolling stock £5 each. Glad the Dapol CCT wasn't the salmon pink version

Farish class 20 in weathered BR green is on the way from eHattons

Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

Picked this up from ROS in less than perfect condition, added lights, DCC chip, shrunk the bogeys added front buffer beam detailing and just weathered!
Looks ok to me now and a great addition to Tormouth!

That really is a nice job!  But silly question: why is the body sitting so high off the bogies?  Looks a bit like a "monster truck."   :confused1:

Yeah that's always been one of the weak points of that particular model.
