General Discussion / Re: what are you listening to ...Last post by Moonglum - Today at 08:38:16 PMNow then Martin @port perran , very interesting. 10cc was of those bands that I liked at the time but very rarely listen to now. I saw them live in Barnstaple in August 1974, I was working at Saunton Sands Beach as a er "beach boy" before joining British Rail. At that time, they had only released "Sheet Music" and to be honest I cannot remember much about the gig at all. "I'm Not in Love" arrived nearly a year later, technically way ahead of its time and very memorable. In 2011, I saw Graham Gouldman's 10cc in High Wycombe and thoroughly enjoyed the performance - very entertaining and professional. Here they are from that same tour at Swansea...

General Discussion / Re: Garden railway unearthedLast post by Skyline2uk - Today at 08:20:21 PMWow what a find.
Of course it's tinged with sadness of the late gentleman passing away, but it would be so much worse for it all to be destroyed forever. Just wish it was on YouTube rather than Ticky Tokyy Skyline2uk #3

General Discussion / Re: what are you listening to ...Last post by port perran - Today at 06:18:54 PMStill on the subject of covers, I've always rather liked I'm Not in Love by 10cc but.....
Is this slower, jazzy version by Karen Souza better? https://youtu.be/-G96CmzUnRk?si=4u4wrKfFj5X_T0lz Some rather nice keyboard work I think. #8

N Gauge Discussion / Can you fit a DCC decoder to a...Last post by Bob G - Today at 05:36:50 PMNGS Helpline question. Can anyone help?
A modeller has several Dapol small prairies and is considering fitting DCC decoders. There is very little space inside these models and he was wondering if fitting a Tramfabriek motor would make any additional space available. If you know of anyone with any experience of this I would be very appreciative. @Snowwolflair perhaps? Bob #10
N Gauge Discussion / Mk1 Inspection SaloonLast post by Steven B - Today at 12:25:52 PMDoes anyone know of a 3d printed Mk1 Inspection Saloon?
I'm looking into modelling 999508: https://flic.kr/p/2btJzTr The inset panels were a later addition which I'd be happy to add. Ultima/Etched Pixels used to do a conversion kit for the old Farish BG but I was wondering if there was something more up-to-date that wouldn't look out of place next to repainted Blue Riband standard Farish Mk1s. Modifying the NGS/Farish LMS version would be hard work. The under-frame would need swapping, end windows replacing and doors/windows are in the wrong places. Steven B | Please Support Us!
