Those mineral wagons look suspiciously like the ones Mk1gtstu had for sale on the N'Porium so they obviously didn't sell on the forum.
I'd recognise that weathering anywhere :D

I didnt need this at all, but at £99 it couldnt be left on the shelf!! Apart from the rude awakening by Royal Mail, at half six this morning, a heck of a bargain!!

I'd happily be woken up at 6.30am for that lot  ;D

Hi All

Talking about being rude not to buy I went for the Dapol MK3 coaches at £10 each

2 first class and 3 second class

I also picked up the buffet coach from Model Rail Direct at £15.99

Both delivered within 2 days - good for this time of the year

The whole rake of 6 for £75 including postage - can't be bad

I can live with the "125" error

Look's great behind the Class 73 with the MK1 full brake I already had

:beers:

Might I ask where you bought those Dapol "error" coaches for a tenner each? I remember seeing them at the Dapol stand at TINGS and wish I'd bought a rake now. I too am not fussy about the "125" error - not being a purist. Indeed I quite like it.

Would be chuffed if I could still pick some up!

Cheers

They're still available direct from Dapol as part of their monthly specials promotion (but only for a couple of days according to the countdown timer)

Went to the Dapol website and saw the coaches here ...

http://dapol.co.uk/index.php?route=product/special

Now, they both say Intercity "First". However, when I look at the pictures, one says "1" for FIRST at the doors by the coach ends, and one doesn't. Does this mean one is first and one isn't? I'd like to get a mixture of both and don't really want all FIRST.

Thanks in advance, my knowledge isn't in this area.

I can't comment on the coaches because they're not my era, but I did buy the Class 22 milk tanker set and it was green as per the description, not blue as the photo. A call to Dapol might assist (if it's not to expensive from your location).

The description on the Dapol site appears to be incorrect... Looking up "2P-005-131" on other sites indicates it's actually 2nd class. The error, BTW, is that they're loco-hauled but have the "InterCity 125" mark, which is actually for HST coaches only.

I can confirm that the three 2P-005-131 that I ordered are second class

I got these directly from Dapol but had to get the buffet from Model Railways Direct to make up the set I think they may have one left

Regards

DesertHound

Thanks all for the replies. Will let you know what I order.

I still find it a disgrace that some places are charging full whack for these coaches without drawing attention to the livery error  :veryangry:
