I recently viewed an auction item for a medium radius turnout cat. no. SLE396X
The standard item SLE396 is a code 80 medium radius electrofrog LH turnout so what does the X signify?

Quote from: Newportnobby on November 11, 2025, 03:12:32 PMIn anticipation of the forthcoming release of the Farish 372-775A Wainwright C class in SECR green livery, I've purchased an immaculate used set of Birdcage coaches from Footplate models in Kidderminster. Great price and great service, let down only by Royal Mail being 24hrs later than they promised (RM, not Footplate)

I endorse Footplate Models. They always provide great service.

Not brazen like some of the above, but CRAPI on an old Ford Capri over here in NZ I thought quite witty.
PURR on a Jaguar also quite apt.

Sorry, you're correct, I didn't notice it's only the page or the spread you are looking at. My bad.  :dunce:

I'm very excited about the new Halls - they look brilliant. I'll be replacing all of my Dapol Halls.

I was pleased to see Dapol introduce their Hall years ago, it was a massive improvement on the old Poole Hall, but the tender drive, warped running plate and appalling BR Green let it down. These new Halls look much better, and the fact they're doing a modified Hall too is great news.

I agree with Cols above that some new BR Green Bullieds would be nice, and maybe an upgraded Collett coach which doesn't have deep recessed "Lima" style windows.

That said, I think we N Gauger's do very well with these announcements - re-runs of Mk1s, locos etc.. plus the varied other manufacturers bringing new stuff out. Compared to the bad old days 25 years ago, we've never had it so good!

Thank you so much all! Yes as always with drawings, you have to try to corroborate as much as you can from photographs!

If I'm very lucky, I might be able to borrow one of the large format scanners from work, that would certainly be the very best reference possible if I could get permission to scan them.

Will.
