Am I the only one who clicks on "New" to jump to the first unread message in a thread? (And who finds the active area of the "New" link to be smaller than the apparent size of the button, so often clicks in the wrong place.)

I prefer the old colour, by the way.
No, you're not, that's how I use the forum. I'm finding the new "new" harder to distinguish from the general forum style. The orange/red flag used to stand out quite clearly, and the blue doesn't.

I've always used "Unread posts since last visit" followed by the New button on threads I want to catch up on.

I think I preferred the old orange/red New button, I don't find the blue version so easy to read but I know what it is so doesn't matter.

I preferred the orange button too - but I'm not bothered if the blue one is harder to read. Once I'd realised that it was the same thing as before I  just hit the button anyway.

N'porium button fixed.  Finding out about the other bits.  I'm at work, so having to fit it in when I can....  As well as find out what's happened.  I have an idea.  Certainly the forum hasn't been compromised in any way, so have no fear.  :)

All fixed now.  Phew!    ;D  A setting was changed for the forum's Language.  It upsets some customised settings on the forum.

Some members speak double Dutch anyway so they would have been okay.  ;)

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

Cant    you   make   it   easyer   to   post   pics

I'm afraid not.  This is all that is available at present.  As I've said before, I'm waiting on a new major update to be approved by Simple Machines Forums, and then hopefully there will be a better gallery.  Though, it's not that hard to insert an image to a post.  Just go to write a post, click 'Add image to post and upload to gallery', choose 'Random Pictures', choose which picture, hit Add Picture.

If you want to add a photo to your own album, then that's a little trickier.

I was about to ask the same. I need at least one bottle of wine before I attempt to post pics in my albums and by then I've forgotten what I wanted to post.

Never ever had a problem.  It works perfectly fine using "Add image to post and upload to gallery" and either add a random photo or add to your own gallery.

I agree it's a little different to the way other forums handle it and therefore newbies sometimes seem to fall foul of it until they're shown how.  Many seem to try to use "Attachments and other options" as that's what you do on most other forums, and end up adding PDFs of their photos.

I do sometimes add photos directly from my user gallery itself.   I'm always using the gallery to find stuff I've uploaded before, to include in new posts and replies and save uploading a duplicate.

Same as Nick, it tends to rotate photos I post from my phone, but otherwise it works pretty faultlessly.

What    is   a   PDF

What    is   a   PDF
Portable Document Format - a file which can contain rich text, images, all sorts of stuff. Popular in the days when people used various different word processor applications with differing formats.  Originally intended as a read-only format I think.   Usually formatted into pages as they would be printed.  So like a Word Processor document but can be read on different software platforms using a PDF reader and without needing to own MS Word, Office or whatever.

The "Attachments and other options" function on here seems to be limited to PDFs, I guess it's to allow someone to attach documents, instruction sheets and other useful stuff like that.

Unfortunately when newbies first want to add photos they notice the Attachments option, discover it only works for PDF and convert their photos to PDF files in order to upload something.
