I hadn't heard that. Very sad :(
I feel too much Strawbs and Dave Cousins voice began to grate on me. My favourite tracks are 'The Hangman & the Papist' and 'New World', the former with Rick Wakeman on keyboards and the latter with Blue Weaver

Quote from: Moonglum on Today at 08:07:07 PMWot! not even "Echoes" Martin @port perran .

On a sad note, I learnt today that Dave Cousins of the Strawbs died a few days ago. A band that passed me by apart from the single "Part of the Union". He had a solo career as well.

Here from a more recent album is the Strawbs in a "proggy" mode with Dave on vocals...

RIP Dave.

That is very sad news indeed.
I saw the Strawbs 3 times I think it was and had most of their early albums back in the day.
As is usial for me I preferred their earlier stuff particularly the Just a Collection of Antiques and Curios album. They became a little louder and rockier after that but I quite liked From the Wychwood and Grave New World.

Well, I've listened to the PF concert in it's entirety.

However, I am very sorry but I was completely underwhelmed after Crazy Diamond which I have to say had rather raised my hopes for something special.

I've said before that I'm not a great fan of Pink Floyd and never really have been so it probably comes as no big shock that I didn't really enjoy it.

Sorry @Moonglum , @Newportnobby  and especially @Trainfish.
It's just not my thing I'm afraid.

I'll settle for the early Floyd stuff  :D

It's a very nicely-executed model, I can see the appeal, especially in that livery

66s are almost all I ever see locally as I'm near the Peterborough - Lincoln line, but I've grown rather fond of their garden-shed-on-wheels looks! :D

Here's a picture I took near Spalding, recently...

(NB: To quote my friend Tich: "The seagulls fly upside-down over Spalding 'cos there's nothing left worth *******-on!".  He's a Yellowbelly, so he can say that.  ;)  )
